Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Model T in Shed, The Home Place, near Norfolk, Nebraska (Uncle Ed's Car) by Wright Morris for USD 1,000.00 (€ 720.98). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wright Morris achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wright Morris in October 2011 with an auction result of USD 11,875.00 (€ 8,514.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Model T in Shed, The Home Place, near Norfolk, Nebraska (Uncle Ed's Car) von Wright Morris für USD 1.000,00 (€ 720,98) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wright Morris erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wright Morris im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 8.514,38).
