In October 2011 Christies in New York held the auction The American Landscape, Black and White Photographs from The Collection of Bruce and Nancy Berman, which included the work Light Pole and Grain Elevator; and Family Portrait, Season's Greetings, Nebraska, c. 1945 by Wright Morris. The »bidding war« ended at USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,585.00), 43% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wright Morris - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wright Morris, which sold at auction in October 2011 for USD 11,875.00 (€ 8,514.38).

Im Oktober 2011 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The American Landscape, Black and White Photographs from The Collection of Bruce and Nancy Berman durch, in der auch die Arbeit Light Pole and Grain Elevator; and Family Portrait, Season's Greetings, Nebraska, c. 1945 von Wright Morris zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.585,00) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Wright Morris mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wright Morris beobachtet, die im Oktober 2011 für USD 11.875,00 (€ 8.514,38) versteigert wurde.
