Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Wonder Buhle Mbambo was auctioned at Phillips in New York in March last year. The price achieved of USD 9,450.00 (€ 8,518.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wonder Buhle Mbambo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Hearts in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 175,000.00 (€ 151,488.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Wonder Buhle Mbambo kam im März letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 9.450,00 (€ 8.518,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wonder Buhle Mbambo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Hearts im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 175.000,00 (€ 151.488,92).
