Auction result misses estimated price range
In December last year a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Wonder Buhle Mbambo for GBP 6,930.00 (€ 7,823.30). This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wonder Buhle Mbambo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Hearts in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 175,000.00 (€ 151,488.92).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Wonder Buhle Mbambo für GBP 6.930,00 (€ 7.823,30) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wonder Buhle Mbambo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Hearts im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 175.000,00 (€ 151.488,92).
