Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 16,510.00 (€ 15,599.02). Admittedly, works by Wonder Buhle Mbambo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Hearts in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 175,000.00 (€ 151,488.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Raising boys, ngesintu von Wonder Buhle Mbambo wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 16.510,00 (€ 15.599,02) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wonder Buhle Mbambo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Hearts im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 175.000,00 (€ 151.488,92).
