Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Moat, Breccles by Winston Churchill was auctioned at Phillips in New York in June 2021. The price achieved of USD 1,845,000.00 (€ 1,557,224.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500,000.00 – 2,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Winston Churchill have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tower Of The Koutoubia Mosque in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 8,285,000.00 (€ 9,732,740.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Moat, Breccles von Winston Churchill kam im Juni 2021 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.845.000,00 (€ 1.557.224,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500.000,00 – 2.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Winston Churchill auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tower Of The Koutoubia Mosque im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.285.000,00 (€ 9.732.740,78).
