Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern British & Irish Art, which included the work Sunset Near Roehampton by Winston Churchill. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 595,800.00 (€ 699,525.26), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Winston Churchill achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tower Of The Koutoubia Mosque in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 8,285,000.00 (€ 9,732,740.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sunset Near Roehampton von Winston Churchill zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 595.800,00 (€ 699.525,26) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Winston Churchill erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tower Of The Koutoubia Mosque im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.285.000,00 (€ 9.732.740,78).
