Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Christies in London held the auction Churchill to Eden: The Collection of the Earl and Countess of Avon, which included the work Still Life, Silver At Chartwell by Winston Churchill. The price achieved of GBP 529,200.00 (€ 616,512.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Winston Churchill achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tower Of The Koutoubia Mosque in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 8,285,000.00 (€ 9,732,740.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Churchill to Eden: The Collection of the Earl and Countess of Avon durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life, Silver At Chartwell von Winston Churchill zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 529.200,00 (€ 616.512,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Winston Churchill erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tower Of The Koutoubia Mosque im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.285.000,00 (€ 9.732.740,78).
