A top price for Winston Churchill
When the work Tower Of The Koutoubia Mosque by Winston Churchill was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2021, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - GBP 2,500,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at GBP 8,285,000.00 (€ 9,732,740.78). This high result makes Tower Of The Koutoubia Mosque the most expensive artwork by Winston Churchill that we have observed at auctions so far.
