Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Maggie Cheung'S Fitting Room by Wilson Shieh was sold in the Boundless: Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in December 2017. The price achieved of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 6,654.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wilson Shieh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bank Of China, Hong Kong, which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 162,500.00 (€ 17,885.04).

Die Arbeit Maggie Cheung'S Fitting Room von Wilson Shieh wurde im Dezember 2017 in der Auktion Boundless: Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 62.500,00 (€ 6.654,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Wilson Shieh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bank Of China, Hong Kong beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 162.500,00 (€ 17.885,04) versteigert wurde.
