It achieved a price of HKD 43,750.00 (€ 4,663.34), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 46%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wilson Shieh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bank Of China, Hong Kong, which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 162,500.00 (€ 17,885.04).

Die Arbeit Catching Fragrance von Wilson Shieh wurde im Februar 2021 in der Auktion Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 43.750,00 (€ 4.663,34) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 46%. Für andere Arbeiten von Wilson Shieh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bank Of China, Hong Kong beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 162.500,00 (€ 17.885,04) versteigert wurde.
