Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bank of China, Cheung Kong Center, IFC1 and IFC2 (Two Works) by Wilson Shieh was sold in the Contemporary Curated: Asia | JAY CHOU x SOTHEBY’S | Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in June 2021. The price achieved of HKD 63,000.00 (€ 6,843.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wilson Shieh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bank Of China, Hong Kong, which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 162,500.00 (€ 17,885.04).
