It achieved a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,347.91), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 56%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willy Schlobach achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Falaises in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 322,000.00 (€ 289,178.27).

Die Arbeit La Meule Au Coucher Du Soleil von Willy Schlobach kam im März 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.347,91) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 56%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Willy Schlobach erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Falaises im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 322.000,00 (€ 289.178,27).
