Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Harbor View (Provincetown) by William Zorach for USD 1,125.00 (€ 952.34). This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Zorach achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Spirit of the Dance' in December 2004 with an auction result of USD 365,900.00 (€ 270,276.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Harbor View (Provincetown) von William Zorach für USD 1.125,00 (€ 952,34) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Zorach erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Spirit of the Dance' im Dezember 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 365.900,00 (€ 270.276,26).
