Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sheep on the Welsh hills by William R. C. Watson was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2004. The price achieved of GBP 2,987.50 (€ 4,446.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William R. C. Watson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sheep grazing by a loch, which sold at auction in October 2008 for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 11,153.11).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.987,50 (€ 4.446,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von William R. C.
