Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by William Walcot achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September 2010. In the Lehman Brothers: Artwork and Ephemera auction, the work The Bank of England sold for GBP 625.00 (€ 722.88) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 250.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Walcot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Etruscan Temple Of Jupiter Capitolinus in March 2008 with an auction result of GBP 26,900.00 (€ 33,793.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von William Walcot erzielte im September 2010 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Lehman Brothers: Artwork and Ephemera wurde die Arbeit The Bank of England für GBP 625,00 (€ 722,88) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 250,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Walcot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Etruscan Temple Of Jupiter Capitolinus im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 26.900,00 (€ 33.793,07).
