Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tower Bridge by William Walcot was sold in the British and Continental Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in March 2008. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,355.47) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Walcot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Etruscan Temple Of Jupiter Capitolinus in March 2008 with an auction result of GBP 26,900.00 (€ 33,793.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tower Bridge von William Walcot wurde im März 2008 in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.355,47) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Walcot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Etruscan Temple Of Jupiter Capitolinus im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 26.900,00 (€ 33.793,07).
