Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Blue Painting by William Smith Ronald was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in February 2007. The price achieved of GBP 5,400.00 (€ 8,005.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Smith Ronald have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Back Thru Spring in May 2012 with an auction result of CAD 100,250.00 (€ 78,341.60).

Die Arbeit Blue Painting von William Smith Ronald wurde im Februar 2007 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.400,00 (€ 8.005,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden.
