Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William Smith Ronald could be acquired at Sothebys in Toronto in November 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important Canadian Art auction, the work Two Untitled Compositions changed hands for CAD 6,600.00 (€ 5,108.02) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of CAD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Smith Ronald achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Back Thru Spring in May 2012 with an auction result of CAD 100,250.00 (€ 78,341.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von William Smith Ronald konnte im November 2012 bei Sothebys in Toronto für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Important Canadian Art wechselte die Arbeit Two Untitled Compositions für CAD 6.600,00 (€ 5.108,02) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von CAD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Smith Ronald erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Back Thru Spring im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 100.250,00 (€ 78.341,60).
