Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Christies in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale, which included the work Untouchables by William Gropper. The price achieved of GBP 6,300.00 (€ 7,167.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,500.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Gropper have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Art Auction in March 2012 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 42,185.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untouchables von William Gropper zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.300,00 (€ 7.167,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.500,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Gropper auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Art Auction im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 42.185,39).
