This artwork by William Anastasi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in February 2019. In the New Now auction, the work Untitled (Subway Drawing) sold for USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,182.18) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Anastasi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled III (Abandoned Painting) in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 242,500.00 (€ 186,023.32).

Dieses Kunstwerk von William Anastasi erzielte im Februar 2019 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Subway Drawing) für USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.182,18) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Anastasi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled III (Abandoned Painting) im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 242.500,00 (€ 186.023,32).
