Auction result well in line with expectations
The work In de Peel, molens aan de oude Maas: along the river by Willem Cornelis Rip was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in April 2007. The price achieved of EUR 6,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Willem Cornelis Rip - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Molens bij Elshout, which sold at auction in January 2001 for NLG 32,900.00 (€ 14,396.40).

Die Arbeit In de Peel, molens aan de oude Maas: along the river von Willem Cornelis Rip kam im April 2007 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 6.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Willem Cornelis Rip mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Molens bij Elshout beobachtet, die im Januar 2001 für NLG 32.900,00 (€ 14.396,40) versteigert wurde.
