Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2007 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work 'Oude Ophaalbrug' by Willem Cornelis Rip. The price achieved of EUR 1,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Willem Cornelis Rip have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Molens bij Elshout in January 2001 with an auction result of NLG 32,900.00 (€ 14,396.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2007 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Oude Ophaalbrug' von Willem Cornelis Rip zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willem Cornelis Rip auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Molens bij Elshout im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 32.900,00 (€ 14.396,40).
