Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Artists working in a mountainous river landscape by Willem Cornelis Rip for EUR 1,440.00. This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Art at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Willem Cornelis Rip have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Molens bij Elshout in January 2001 with an auction result of NLG 32,900.00 (€ 14,396.40).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Artists working in a mountainous river landscape von Willem Cornelis Rip für EUR 1.440,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willem Cornelis Rip auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Molens bij Elshout im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 32.900,00 (€ 14.396,40).
