Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Opkomend onweder: windmills along a river by Willem Cornelis Rip was sold in the Pictures Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2007. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 5,625.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Willem Cornelis Rip - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Molens bij Elshout, which sold at auction in January 2001 for NLG 32,900.00 (€ 14,396.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Opkomend onweder: windmills along a river von Willem Cornelis Rip wurde im September 2007 in der Auktion Pictures Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 5.625,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Willem Cornelis Rip mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Molens bij Elshout beobachtet, die im Januar 2001 für NLG 32.900,00 (€ 14.396,40) versteigert wurde.
