Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Willem Cornelis Rip could be acquired at Sothebys in Amsterdam in March 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours auction, the work A Peasantwoman On A Country Road, Dark Clouds Gathering changed hands for EUR 1,560.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Willem Cornelis Rip have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Molens bij Elshout in January 2001 with an auction result of NLG 32,900.00 (€ 14,396.40).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Willem Cornelis Rip konnte im März 2007 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours wechselte die Arbeit A Peasantwoman On A Country Road, Dark Clouds Gathering für EUR 1.560,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willem Cornelis Rip auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Molens bij Elshout im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 32.900,00 (€ 14.396,40).
