Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Flag by Will Mentor. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 500.00 – 1,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 625.00 (€ 556.64) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Will Mentor achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Don Giovanni Moments After Killing The Commandant, Second Performance in July 2019 with an auction result of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,861.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flag von Will Mentor zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 500,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 625,00 (€ 556,64) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Will Mentor erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Don Giovanni Moments After Killing The Commandant, Second Performance im Juli 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.861,64).
