Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Beatrice by Will Cotton was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2012. The price achieved of USD 59,375.00 (€ 45,637.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Will Cotton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Taffy Forest in September 2012 with an auction result of USD 272,500.00 (€ 211,963.29).
