Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Desert Skirt Blue and Purple by Will Cotton was auctioned at Phillips in an online auction in July 2018. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,339.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Will Cotton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Taffy Forest in September 2012 with an auction result of USD 272,500.00 (€ 211,963.29).
