Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Christies in London held the auction Post War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included this untitled work by Wilhelm Sasnal. The price achieved of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 58,635.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wilhelm Sasnal have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Airplanes in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 396,000.00 (€ 294,358.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2021 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post War and Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Wilhelm Sasnal zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 58.635,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wilhelm Sasnal auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Airplanes im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 396.000,00 (€ 294.358,14).
