Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work D. Johnston by Wilhelm Sasnal was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, London auction at Christies in London in July last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 52,920.00 (€ 63,195.88). Admittedly, works by Wilhelm Sasnal have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Airplanes in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 396,000.00 (€ 294,358.14).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit D. Johnston von Wilhelm Sasnal wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, London bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 52.920,00 (€ 63.195,88) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wilhelm Sasnal auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Airplanes im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 396.000,00 (€ 294.358,14).
