A top price for Wilhelm Sasnal
In May 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Sale, which included the work Airplanes by Wilhelm Sasnal. The »bidding war« ended at USD 396,000.00 (€ 294,358.14), 32% above the upper estimate. With this result, Airplanes is even the most expensive work of art by Wilhelm Sasnal that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für Wilhelm Sasnal
Im Mai 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Airplanes von Wilhelm Sasnal zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 396.000,00 (€ 294.358,14) und damit 32% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Airplanes sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Wilhelm Sasnal, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
