Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September last year Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included this untitled work by Wilhelm Sasnal. Here, the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 44,100.00 (€ 45,078.20). Admittedly, works by Wilhelm Sasnal have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Airplanes in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 396,000.00 (€ 294,358.14).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Wilhelm Sasnal zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 44.100,00 (€ 45.078,20) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wilhelm Sasnal auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Airplanes im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 396.000,00 (€ 294.358,14).
