Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 VAN HAM in Cologne held the auction Modern, Post War & Contemporary, which included the work Pornography. by Wilhelm Sasnal. The price achieved of EUR 29,670.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wilhelm Sasnal have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Airplanes in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 396,000.00 (€ 294,358.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2021 führte VAN HAM in Köln die Auktion Modern, Post War & Contemporary durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pornography. von Wilhelm Sasnal zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 29.670,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wilhelm Sasnal auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Airplanes im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 396.000,00 (€ 294.358,14).
