The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,120.00 (€ 2,587.49) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Watanabe Seitei have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2000 the work The wife of Enya Takasada at her toilette was auctioned for USD 4,025.00 (€ 4,204.09).
