The work Unknown by Watanabe Seitei was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2006. The result of GBP 600.00 (€ 878.33) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Watanabe Seitei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The wife of Enya Takasada at her toilette in March 2000 with an auction result of USD 4,025.00 (€ 4,204.09).

Die Arbeit Unknown von Watanabe Seitei kam im Juli 2006 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 600,00 (€ 878,33) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Watanabe Seitei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The wife of Enya Takasada at her toilette im März 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.025,00 (€ 4.204,09).
