Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Ôban by Watanabe Seitei was auctioned at Lempertz in Cologne in June 2016. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 450.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 496.00. Admittedly, works by Watanabe Seitei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The wife of Enya Takasada at her toilette in March 2000 with an auction result of USD 4,025.00 (€ 4,204.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Ôban von Watanabe Seitei kam im Juni 2016 bei Lempertz in Köln zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 450,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 496,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Watanabe Seitei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The wife of Enya Takasada at her toilette im März 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.025,00 (€ 4.204,09).
