This artwork by Watanabe Seitei achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March 2005. In the Japanese and Korean Art auction, the work Toka Gunkyu No Zu (Wisteria And Group of Pigeons) sold for USD 4,200.00 (€ 3,238.49) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Watanabe Seitei; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The wife of Enya Takasada at her toilette sold at auction in March 2000 with the realized price of USD 4,025.00 (€ 4,204.09).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Watanabe Seitei erzielte im März 2005 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis.
