Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Homme utile by Valentine Hugo. The price achieved of USD 2,000.00 (€ 1,764.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,800.00 – 2,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Valentine Hugo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait d'Arthur Rimbaud in March last year with an auction result of GBP 1,042,750.00 (€ 1,236,297.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Homme utile von Valentine Hugo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.000,00 (€ 1.764,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.800,00 – 2.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Valentine Hugo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait d'Arthur Rimbaud im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.042.750,00 (€ 1.236.297,48).
