A top price for Valentine Hugo
The work Portrait d'Arthur Rimbaud by Valentine Hugo was sold in the The Mind's Eye / Surrealist Sale auction at Bonhams in London in March last year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,042,750.00 (€ 1,236,297.48), 74% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Portrait d'Arthur Rimbaud the most expensive artwork by Valentine Hugo that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Portrait d'Arthur Rimbaud von Valentine Hugo wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion The Mind's Eye / Surrealist Sale bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.042.750,00 (€ 1.236.297,48) und damit 74% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
