This work without title by Toyin Ojih Odutola was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2019. The auction ended at the price of USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,347.71), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Toyin Ojih Odutola achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Through Line in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 2,198,000.00 (€ 1,947,373.08).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Toyin Ojih Odutola kam im Juli 2019 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 1.500,00 (€ 1.347,71) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Toyin Ojih Odutola erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Through Line im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.198.000,00 (€ 1.947.373,08).
