Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Birmingham (right) by Toyin Ojih Odutola was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2019. The price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,861.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Toyin Ojih Odutola achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Through Line in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 2,198,000.00 (€ 1,947,373.08).
