In May 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 20th Century Art, which included the work The Encounter by Toon Kelder. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 26,400.00 20% above the upper estimate. With this result, The Encounter is even the most expensive work of art by Toon Kelder that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Mai 2006 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion 20th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Encounter von Toon Kelder zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 26.400,00 und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist The Encounter sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Toon Kelder, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
