In June 2017 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction The former Kamerbeek Collection, which included the work Renée with doll by Toon Kelder. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 5,000.00 43% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Toon Kelder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Encounter in May 2006 with an auction result of EUR 26,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 43 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2017 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion The former Kamerbeek Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Renée with doll von Toon Kelder zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 5.000,00 und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Toon Kelder auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Encounter im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 26.400,00.
