In June 2014 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Modern Art, which included the work Reclining Nude by Toon Kelder. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 18,750.00 56% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Toon Kelder; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Encounter sold at auction in May 2006 with the realized price of EUR 26,400.00.

Im Juni 2014 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Reclining Nude von Toon Kelder zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 18.750,00 und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Toon Kelder; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Encounter im Mai 2006 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 26.400,00.
