Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Jan Toorop by Toon Kelder was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2015. The price achieved of EUR 3,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Toon Kelder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Encounter in May 2006 with an auction result of EUR 26,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of Jan Toorop von Toon Kelder kam im Juni 2015 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Toon Kelder auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Encounter im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 26.400,00.
