In July last year Christies in New York held the auction First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Thanksgiving House by Tony Berlant. The »bidding war« ended at USD 6,930.00 (€ 6,792.79), 39% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Tony Berlant have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Letter in June 2000 with an auction result of USD 32,900.00 (€ 34,468.31).

Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Thanksgiving House von Tony Berlant zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 6.930,00 (€ 6.792,79) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tony Berlant auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Letter im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 32.900,00 (€ 34.468,31).
