Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Bonhams held the auction Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art, which included the work Miss Tangier, 1959 by Tony Berlant. It changed hands for a price of USD 2,805.00 (€ 2,540.76) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tony Berlant achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Letter in June 2000 with an auction result of USD 32,900.00 (€ 34,468.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Miss Tangier, 1959 von Tony Berlant zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 2.805,00 (€ 2.540,76) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tony Berlant erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Letter im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 32.900,00 (€ 34.468,31).
