Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Bonhams held the auction Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art, which included the work The Monkey Ledger, 1987 by Tony Berlant. It changed hands for a price of USD 28,050.00 (€ 25,407.61) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Other works by Tony Berlant have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2000 the work The Letter was auctioned for USD 32,900.00 (€ 34,468.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Monkey Ledger, 1987 von Tony Berlant zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 28.050,00 (€ 25.407,61) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Tony Berlant konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2000 die Arbeit The Letter für USD 32.900,00 (€ 34.468,31) versteigert.
