Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Online | New York, which included the work The Queen'S Boating Party by Tom Otterness. The price achieved of USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,340.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tom Otterness achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Large Bear in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 1,512,500.00 (€ 1,335,776.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Queen'S Boating Party von Tom Otterness zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.340,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tom Otterness erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Large Bear im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.512.500,00 (€ 1.335.776,74).
